Our goal is to strengthen the local Magic community. We want this event to be a safe and welcoming place where everyone can enjoy the game together. All players are welcome, and we ask everyone to treat each other with respect so that everyone has a great time.
This event is run entirely by volunteers — no one is making a profit. All entry fees go directly into covering event costs, and any leftover money will be added to the prize pool. Here is a detailed overview of our budget.
We want to offer a limited event with a competitive edge, but without the full pressure of a professional tournament. That's why we don't have formal judges and don't fully enforce competitive rules. We trust players to follow the rules, not exploit the lighter structure and create a fun atmosphere for everyone.

Of course! The tournament is open to everyone. We have players of all skill levels participating. It's a great opportunity to learn from others and improve your game.
Yes absolutely! The tournament will be conducted in English, and we have players from various backgrounds. All cards are English. Don't hesitate to join us!
The tournament will consist of two main drafts with three rounds each. Each match win will earn you three points and draws will earn you one point. The top 8 players with the most points will advance to the final draft, which will be single elimination.
All cards you pick during your draft are yours to keep.
No there will be no rare picking at the end of each regular draft during the tournament. During the side events the pod may decide to rare pick.
You will have the choice between additional booster drafts, various Cubes like the Magic Online Vintage Cube or The Pauper Cube and fun little Magic mini games (for example Dan Dan).
WOW-Keepers is the clubhouse (Vereinslokal) for various clubs in Vienna. One of those clubs is the Card Club, which we are a part of. We are playing Magic every Tuesday and Thursday at 6pm there and are welcoming everyone to join us.
We will offer some snacks and drinks to buy during the event. Additionally, there are several fast food options and supermarkets in the area.
Please bring sleeves for your draft deck. Also, if you have a playmat you like to use, bring it along. We will provide basic lands for the event.
The tournament will happen for sure, there are already enough players registered to fill at least one pod. If there are less than 13 players there will be no cash prizes. Instead we will rare pick the cards from the top 8 draft.
